3.    The Grand – Probably the most famous Brighton hotel and is prominently located on Brighton’s seafront. The hotel is associated with luxury accommodation and is very stylish. It was first opened in 1864 and has been a popular hotel ever since.

The hotel hit the news in 1984 when it was subject to a failed assasination attempt on Margaret Thatcher. Although severely damaged by the bomb blast it was restored to its former glory and it opened again in 1986. 4.    Cecil House Hotel – Although not on the same sort of scale as The Grand, this hotel does offer friendly and affordable accommodation.  It looks out over Brighton’s West Pier and you are just a short walk away from Pebble Beach. All rooms have en-suite facilities and 8 of the rooms look out towards the sea whilst the others have a view of a hidden French church in Brighton’s back streets.
