  How to reach our place

• Train: If you come by train, step off at Termini main station. You have several possibilites to reach our place:
  On foot: It takes about 15 minutes. Take the way as shown in the map.
  By bus: You can take also the bus no 910 at Termini main station. Get off after 4 stations (via piemonte) and turn right to via sicilia. After 100 meters you are at Veneto Inn Bed and breakfast in Rome.
  By taxi: It costs about 7 €
• Airplane: The nearest airport of Veneto Inn Roma is the international airport Leonardo Da Vinci (Fiumicino FCO.) At the airport there is a train which goes directly to Termini main station. Of course you can take a taxi as well (40 €.) From the airport it takes about 45 minutes to get to Veneto Inn Roma.
• Car: Regardeless of whether you come from the south or from the north, follow the markers to Rome. At Rome follow the markers T90 G.R.A. Roma and Roma Centro.

To reach our Villa in Sorrento, from Tasso Square, follow to Fuorimura street and drive for about 3 Km towards ‘Casarlano’. When you arrive in the little square of ‘Casarlano’, carry on straight ahead, after about 300 Mt you will come across a private lane on your left hand side whit a small barrier ( it’s only half barrier there is enough space for a car so go through); drive through the entrance and after 200 Mt up a slight incline you will find a Villa Monica on your left. We also have available a pick up service from Piazza Tasso straight to our villa (you need to contact us before your arrival)

The hotel is the result of painstaking preservation and renovation of over 1400 square meters including cave dwellings, pathways, stairways and courtyards. Matera Hotel Sant’Angelo is able to accommodate up to 45 guests distributed into 16 historical dwellings. We offer our guests a number of services for an unforgettable stay including: a restaurant with a warm rustic atmosphere perfect for enjoying the local lucanian specialties, two bars, furnished panoramic terraces, leisure halls, and an art gallery.

Reception is located on the ground floor, the entrance is from the common courtyard. Realized in a hypogeum area carved from the rock, external wall in the front area made from rough tufa walling, hypogeum ceilings with roman arches, and one pointed arch in the partition area between the entrance and the library; the atmosphere is covered in “Apricena” stone flooring. The bathrooms are all tiled in stone. The furniture has been carefully chosen to create a classic and elegant atmosphere.

The restaurant is found on the top floor and is made up of two connecting halls, with two independent entrances with windows above the doors. The Matera Hotel’s halls entirely made from hypogeum, with few walls, in the front area made from rough tufa walling, and of “Apricena” stone, with plastered internal walls in the entrance area and rough tufa walling to the rear.

From the wide terraces and balconies you can admire a spectacular view like no other; Gravina Canyon’s stone walls have eroded in the past millenniums to create a deep and more charming than ever canyon.

All rooms are furnished with: private bath, telephone, satellite television, air conditioning, a safe and mini-bar. The Hotel layout is aligned in rows lending itself to a typical neighbourhood that overlooks courtyards and small town squares and are distributed onto different levels and connected by stairways and landings and retains all of the characteristics of the Sassi’s hypogeum houses. With both the front and the rear being carved from the tufa.

The hotel “Le Capanne” is born from the restoration of a farm house belonging to the Tenuta di Frassineto.
The oldest part of the house dates back to the end of the XVI century and it shows its age in the part of the building that houses the old brick oven; the main and central part of the building instead was built at the end of the year ‘700 during the most important agricultural legislation, wanted by the family of the Grandukes Lorena, that definitely cleared the Val di Chiana.

Today, the Hotel Le Capanne is a small country hotel. In the common rooms at the ground and first level guests have at their disposal two large living rooms with fire places, a billiard table at the bar, a little library and tv room and and Internet point with a 24 hours free access.

The restaurant/trattoria “La Locanda dei Pilli” - accommodating about 90 people in three different rooms - is situated beside the Hotel Le Capanne.
Our guests can be spoilt with traditional Tuscan dishes, a large variety of homemade pasta, ravioli, tagliatelle and gnocchi, the famous tuscan steak cooked on the fireplace’s grill of the kitchen, genuine ingredients and great quality products from the farmers of the area.
Everything will be accompanied by a wide selection of local tuscan wines.
The dining rooms of the restaurant are located in the old stables of the house and you can still admire the restored antique manger as well as the whole floor made of stone

Our large swimming pool and solarium are open for guests during the summer and as well at their disposal there is a parking, garden, porch, bar and a restaurant. The reception is open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; there is a laundry service, a wake up call service as well as room service (with limited hours).
